We pride ourselves on offering an environment for children to attend & play small sided games. We welcome all children aged 5-13, both boys & girls, to enjoy soccer in a safe, pressure free environment.
These centres are here to help bring back the freedom that older generations had when they were young playing street soccer. When the only adult involvement was your mum shouting that your dinner was ready!
In this day & age children don’t have the same freedom due to stranger danger, traffic, more 'No Ball Games' signs going up & the short days in the winter, where can children play? Even in a number of schools due to health & safety football is no longer played! Then we have problems at a number of football clubs; children turned away due to not making the grade, not old enough or tall enough or because they are a girl. Those ‘lucky’ enough to be selected will then have problems of always being the sub or the ‘coach’ shouting & telling the child what to do.
DutchSoccer4s.Org offers all children the same amount of minutes on the pitch. We play a series of 4 v 4 games meaning everyone learns, develops & improves their touch & technique. No adult involvement – we provide coordinators. Their only job is to organise the games. Of course they are there to step in if need be but we offer more responsibility to children helping to make it their game!
Children should attend each centre properly kitted out wearing appropriate sportswear. We also advise all children to wear shin pads. When attending venues outside, children should bring waterproof clothing & wear warmer clothes during winter months. On astroturf trainers are fine although when on grass children should bring trainers & boots depending on the conditions. In summer months we recommend that children have a cap, suncream & water.
